Meet Me…

My Life & My Desires
My name is Angelica. I am a wife to a wonderful husband (affectionately known as “The Hubs”) and mother of 4 awesome boys! We live in the Old North State and enjoy traveling, sports, and great food!

I, particularly, enjoy Godiva Chocolate! :)

AngelicaKimberly - My Beautiful Family

All of my childhood I spent traveling the world and experiencing the beauty of different cultures.

My parents are retired Army Veterans. Quite honestly, I miss that time in my life. Having the ability to travel the world, at such a young age, impacted me in ways I am still discovering.

Now that I am a wife and mother, I desire this same cultural exposure and discovery for my family. However, life is just not always that felixble. You know what I mean?

I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees, in Engineering, from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. Currently, I am a local Educator. I work to serve the children in my district and provide support to the teachers in my building.

Life really has been great to me! However, I desire more for my family and more flexibility to raise my family in the way The Hubs and I envision. How is that possible, I have always wondered?

Entrepreneurs, Small Business Ownership, & Home-Based Business Creation
The economy has hit families square between the eyes. Wouldn’t you agree?

Yes?

Job loss and job security stay on the forefront of everyone’s mind.

The question is; is there a way to create job security for yourself and financial stability for your family, even in this economy?

Entrepreneurship, small business ownership, and home-based business creation should really be what drives this economy and whips it back into shape. Don’t you think so?

(I do!)

Imagine if every family had a business that they owned and operated, which created a needed service for their neighbors. We would never be out of work or resources because your family would have what my family needed – and vice versa.

Now that’s job security!

So over the years, as I have contemplated entrepreneurialship, particulary that of home-based business creation, I am finally jumping into this thing – feet first, cannonball style! (Just cause that’s how we do things around here!)

I have often wondered if it was possible to be an entrepreneur, yet not sacrifice my faith or family in the pursuit of success.

I’m talking about becoming a MOMPRENUER! :)

Deep down, this is what my heart desires. It’s the silent roar that I’m desperately trying to give a voice to. Which is why I have created AngelicaKimberly.com.

Do you think such an aspiration is possible for you and your family?

Faith & Family
One of the main reasons I am pursuing this journey is because my faith and my family are so important to me! The idea of being a Momepreneur with a home-based business will allow me to keep these priorities safeguarded, in my heart. Whenever things get out of wack, I have a bad day, or I experience extreme success, my Faith and my Family are there to remind me of what’s most important.

My family and I absolutely, undoubtedly LOVE to give! We are constantly thinking of ways that we can give of our time, our talents, and our substance to our church, local charities and foundations, even perfect strangers. For us, it’s an act of worship. It’s a way to show our gratitude, to the Lord, for the good success we’ve been allowed to have. I see it as an act of faith and honor. Most of all though, it warms our hearts and teaches our children about the true meaning of life.

AngelicaKimberly - All of Us

Do you remember the last time you did something nice or blessed a total stranger?

Yes!

It’s that feeling RIGHT THERE that I’m talking about. It just brings a whole new meaning to our purpose, here on earth.

Unfortunately though, we spend our lives making a living, instead of living to make lives. We get so busy with going to work, paying bills, and running errands that even our most well-intentioned pursuit of selfless service never really comes to fruition.

(Yeah, I’ve been there.)

::Ouch::

My Desire for You!
I’m on this journey not just for me, but for you. The coporate Mom who sliently cries when she has to drop her child off a daycare. The classroom teacher, who works so hard for other people’s children that sometimes the needs of her own children go unmet.

You’re tired. You’re worn out. You think to yourself, “There has to be a better way.” You’re secretly praying for a layoff, just so you can get home to your family.

(Yeah, I’ve said that same silent prayer too! I’m not necessarily proud of it either.)

I’m in pursuit of my dreams and by doing so, I hope to reach the lives of other women out there, who desire something similar. My desire for you is that you journey through self-discovery. I desire that you find something that makes you want to get up in the morning, yet allows you to stay in the bed a few more minutes to be home with your family.

My prayer is that my journey inspires you to think outside of the box, be introspective, reflective, and reconsider your life’s journey.

I want you to find a voice to your silent roar

Your “roar” being that thing that makes the most sense to you, makes you jump out of bed, makes you feel satisfied and fulfilled, as the specially designed woman God created you to be.

This is my desire for YOU!

    • Tereasa,

My prayers are with you, your husband, and family. (((hugs)))

Please be a source of encouragement for your husband. Something about men loosing their ability to provide for their families has a way of debilitating them. Let him know that the Lord has a master plan and a divine destiny for him. Support him, love on him, and let him find his way. He will and he will be so much more fulfilled! :)

I highly recommend “No More Dreaded Mondays” and “48 Days” both by Dan Miller. (See my Shelfari on my main page for direct links.) These books have become the background for me and Michael’s life these past 4 years. It will inspire your husband and give him the tools and resources he needs for this next phase in his life. :)

Keep being the beautiful Proverbs 31 woman!

      Warmly,
      Angelica

  5. Wish I could find my silent roar :)
    your family is beautiful!

    • Thank you MomPhotographer!

From your name, it looks like you have an interest/passion in photography?! :)

      Start there…

What would you do if money weren’t an option/issue?
What would you do for free, just because you love it that much?
What makes your heart skip a beat, when you think about it?
What do you do that everyone applauds as a gift or talent?
What do you want to be when you grow up? :)

Your creativity will speak to you through God’s word. It’s how He designed us. Seek him. Stay in Prayer. Journal what he speaks to you. I’m confident you’ll discover it really soon!

I would also recommend “No More Dreaded Mondays” and “48 Days” both by Dan Miller. He guides his readers on a personal journey to your passions…your roar! :)

      Warmly,
      Angelica
